PALMER ACHESON
103 Second St., Winneconne
Age 63, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Monday in Oshkosh after a one year illness. He was born October 4, 1901 in Medina, residing in the area until 1920, he then moved to Chicago where he operated a garage and machine shop. He returned to the Winneconne area in 1947 and was employed by various contractors in road construction. He was employed by Badger Highways, Inc. prior to his retirement in 1963. Mr. Acheson is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Acheson; one son, Palmer, Jr., Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Batemen, Mrs. Doris Peterman, Mrs. Gladys Duey, and Mrs. Marilyn Steele, all of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeyh Babbitz, Milwaukee; Gladys Acheson, California; three brothers, Lloyd, Neenah; Floyd, Appleton; Jessie, Oshkosh; 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mueller Funeral Chapel, Winneconne with Rev. Harvey Kahrs officiating. Interment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
