JAYNE - Dorothy Sewall Of New Canaan Conn & Small Point Maine died suddenly Nov 9 at her home. She was born March 2, 1894. The daughter of the late William D. & Mary Sumner Sewall of The Bath Maine Shipbuilding Family. Her brother Sumner Sewall was 2 term Governor of the state of Maine. Mrs. Jayne lead an active life in New Canaan as a member of The New Canaan Garden Club, New Canaan Sewing Group, The Altar Guild of St. Mark's Church. She was also a member of The New Canaan Country Club & The Cosmopolitan Club of New York.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM November 12 at St. Mark's Church, New Canaan, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to The Bath Marine Museum or The New Canaan Sewing Group Inc.
