She was 83.Preceded in death by: husband, Chester Freeman; children, Billy, Vernell and Johnny; grandchildren, Lisa, Linda and Jesse Stratton, Miranda Brown, Danyelle Baker and Michael Ray Freeman.Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Velma and Willie Martin, Carrie Stratton, Bernice and Larry Henson and Joyce Henson, all of Tellico Plains; and Virgie and William Picklesimer of north Georgia;Sons and daughters-in-law-R.B. Freeman and Carl and Kitty Freeman of Tellico Plains; Arvil and Sue Freeman, Kenneth and Mary Freeman and Sonny and Pamela Freeman, all of north Georgia;Stepdaughter-Jean Burnham of Madisonville;Stepson and wife-Junior and Bernice Freeman of Tellico Plains;Sisters and brothers-in-law-Mae and Bill Houston of Madisonville; and Grace and Billy Milsaps of Sweetwater;Brothers and sisters-in-law-Lloyd and Betty Bowers, Harvey and Lorene Bowers, J.R. and Gena Bowers and Frank and Evelyn Bowers, all of Madisonville;Forty-four grandchildren;Thirty great-grandchildren;Four great-great-grandchildren;One special granddaughter, Rebecca Joanne Holt and Dusty who were always there; at least 100 foster children who love and adore her;Too many nieces and nephews to count.Funeral services were 2 p.m., Monday, April 7, at Piney Grove Church of God with the Rev. Calvin Freeman officating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Myers Funeral Home, Tellico Plains, in charge of arrangements.
