Private First Class Baldwin was a member of Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action at the Boulder City outpost complex, the last Marine battle of the war, on July 26, 1953. Private First Class Baldwin was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
