Mrs. Phoebe Spidel, widow of Jacob Spidel, died Monday, at her home, 314 East Fourth Street, following a three-year illness.
A native of Darke County, Mrs. Spidel had lived in Greenville since 1924. Her husband died Oct. 6, 1949.
Surviving are two sons: Robert of Greenville and Wilbur of R.R. 1, Greenville; a daughter Mrs. Mildred Wright of Greenville, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller funeral home with the Rev. Donald Rossman officiating.
Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday until the time of services.
