The daughter of French immigrant Jacob "Jacque" Loeb and Mary Gross of Canton, Mississippi (they were married in 1866. She would marry her sister, Tillie's widower. Sam Jr. would co-cound Big Chain Grocery Stores in Shreveport, Louisiana. Sam Jr. and Florence would have two sons William Benjamin and Jacque Loeb Wiener. William Benjamin and Sam's son with Tillie, Sam G. Wiener would form a highly successful architecture firm. Jacque would become a Shreveport attorney.
