Funeral services for Glen Tynes, 86, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glenn Nace officiated the service. Music was provided by Linda Foil.
Mr. Tynes, a resident of Kokomo, died at The Myrtles on Thursday, October 28.
He was born August 15, 1913, in Lawrence County, the son of the late Walter and Gena Roberts Tynes. He was employed at The Lampton Company for many years, also Southern Naval Stores.
Mr. Tynes was a member of Kokomo Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Quin Tynes, Walter Holmes, and Charlie Holmes; four sisters, Francis Tynes, Lela Harvey, Tera Pope, and Eva Mullins.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Holmes Tynes of Kokomo; one son and daughter-in-law, Glen Dale and Patsy Tynes of Kokomo; two grandsons, Cale Tynes and Garrett Tynes.
Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday, October 29 from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home.
