Services for Lucille Alford Abney, 85, of Athens, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Fondren officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens, Texas.
She was born May 28, 1922 in Newton County, Arkansas to the late William Franklin and Stella Lorena Cochran Sisco.
Mrs. Abeny was a resident of Athens since 1950, was employed 21 years at Vassarette of Munsingwear, Inc. and ten years at Mrs. J's Plant Farm. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Abney in 1997, brother, Hershel Sisco and sister, Gladys Faddis.
Survivors include sons, Greg Alford and wife Mary Ann, Jimmy Abney and wife Brenda, daughter in law, Glenda Thompson, all of Athens, four grandchildren, Wendy Forester, and husband Jason, Athens, Page Tutle and husband Tim, Rockwall, Rusty Abney and wife Sandy, Murchison, Laci Lansdale and finace Roberto Dalgado, Athens, sister, Juanita Ferguson, Neosho, MO, six great grandchildren, Skyler Abney, Brianna Abney, Britton Abney, Tori Tutle, Tara Tutle, Jaden Delgado.
Pallbearers inlcude Tim Tutle, Jerry Carrico,
Vance Pearce, Rick Williams, Gary Steddum, Roberto Delagado, Rusty Abney.
Honorary Pallbearers will be T.C. Brannon, Alec Wofford, Robert Miller, Larry Anding, Pete Stockard, Jasper Stevens, Bryan Roberts, Glenn Leopard, Marvin Timmerman, Tim Tutle.
