Mrs. Vere Marie Dillard Howell, age 99 of Dalton, went to be with the Lord, on Friday.
She was the daughter of the late, Lum and Barbara Baggett Dillard and was preceded in death by her husband, James D. "Dink" Howell and her daughter, Janice Marie Quarles.
Vere is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Eddie Powell; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Frances Howell, James and Julie Howell; son-in-law, Jimmy Quarles; sister-in-law, Aileen Dillard.
Grandchildren, Norman and Ginger Powell, Cindy Powell, Chris and Anita Quarles, Megan and Jason Robinson; great-grandchildren, Sarah Ann Powell, Emma Quarles, Carter Quarles and Aiden Robinson.
Services were held on Monday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Sam Dillard and Rev. Ken Fuller officiating.
