Thomas Lynn Blankenship of Gatesville died here October 11. He was 49.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Restland Cemetery with Rev. Keith Dyer officiating. Scott's Funeral Home was in charge.
He was born December 21, 1941, in Kaufman, the son of Raymond Blankenship and the late Mrs. Lula Crimm Blankenship. He was reared and attended school in Kaufman, and graduated from Kaufman High School. He also attended Texas Christian University.
He moved to Gatesville four years ago, and married Janice Jones September 3, 1990. He and his wife made their home in Gatesville.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Blankenship of Gatesville; his father, Raymond Blankenship of Kaufman; one daughter, Lynsie Blankenship of Gatesville; two sons, Brad Blankenship of Dallas and Cody Blankenship of Crawford; a step-daughter, Kimberly Kelley of Gatesville; a step son, David Russell of Gatesville; a sister, June Humphreys of Kaufman; two brothers, Robert Blankenship and Mike Blankenship, both of Kaufman; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Bates, Billy Jones, Doug Cuevas, Dumpy Blanchard, Ronnie Blanchard, Sonny Adams, Jimmy Griffith and Randy Westerfeld.
