The funeral of John H. Rusie, newspaper color press specialist, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Rusie, who was 69 years old, died yesterday in his home at 6112 Central Avenue. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana and was employed by the Indianapolis Times from 1910 until last October. As pressroom superintendent from 1926 until his retirement, he was a pioneer in the development of newspaper color printing processes. Mr. Rusie was an entertainer for seven years before joining the Times and toured Europe for three years. He once appeared in a command performance before the British royal family. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Edith Rusie; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Marsh and Mrs. Jean Gieseking of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Lois Smith, Detroit; a son, John A. Rusie, Ligonier, an Indiana state trooper, and five grandchildren.
