Dora Bell Hamric (written Hamrick on her marriage record and even Hambrick in some old family letters but as Hamric by her father) was the daughter of Edward Hill or H.L. Hamric and Susan A. Clark.

Dora Bell married Daniel Mansfield Carter on 10 Sep 1893 at her father's house in Marion, Alabama. The couple had eight children but Dora died shortly after giving birth to twin baby girls, who did not live. It is supposed that they were also buried here.

No stone could be found for her either here or at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, also in Marion County, Alabama where her parents and at least one of her brothers are buried.

Dora's and Daniel's children that lived were: Luther Dalton, Marvin, Ette Ruth, Daniel Lorenza (called Loranzy), Grover Cleveland and Grady Early (called Earl) Carter.
