Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joanne Courtney C. Acker; daughters, Susan Vaughn and Cynthia Acker; son, Michael Acker; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Acker; and two granddaughters.
Services: Visitation was Dec. 27 at Yates Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10a Dec. 28 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, St. Lucie West. Burial will be at 10:30a Dec. 29 at South Florida National VA Cemetery, Lake Worth.
