SARAH ANN, W.Va. Jack Hatfield, 87, of Sarah Ann, departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born August 22, 1922, at Logan, he was a son of the late Tennis Hatfield and Sadie Walters Hatfield Click. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Oma Ritchie Hatfield; three brothers, Tennis Hatfield Jr., Henry Hatfield and Melvin Click Jr., and two sisters, Joann Hatfield and Mary Lou Click.

Jack was a retired coal miner and of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Deborah) Hatfield of Sarah Ann and Jack Hatfield Jr. of Huntington; two daughters, Patricia Beres of Orlando, Fla., and Donnie Campbell of St. Augustine, Fla.; four brothers, Johnny Hatfield of St. Petersburg, Fla., Bill Hatfield of Tennessee, Buril Click of Paintsville, Ky., and Monroe Click of Emma, Ky.; two sisters, Pauline Hatfield of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Helen Hatfield of Tennessee.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel. His remains will be cremated. Graveside services will be in Hatfield Cemetery at Sarah Ann at a later date.

Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.
