COLUMBUS, GA— Norma "JoAnn" Acker, 72, of Columbus, GA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gene Boyd officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Mrs. Acker was born March 20, 1937 in Long Island, NY daughter of the late Roy G. Hudnall and Lena Love Slayton. She was a homemaker and attended Cascade Hills Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy G. Hudnall, Jr. and Donald Hudnall. Survivors include her loving husband, daughter and son-in-law, son, sister and brother-in-law, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
