Born May 27, 1920 in rural Carlisle County, Kentucky James Malcolm Adams, my Uncle Malcolm, was the third child of Roy Stanley Adams & Pearl Cilles Goin Adams. He died 55 years later on August 6, 1975 in Columbus, Georgia. He and his family had settled there while he was serving in the United States Army.

Uncle Malcolm served his country in WWII stationed in England, as did my father. Following the war, he remained in the army and served his country in Korea & Vietnam.

Uncle Malcolm married three times. His first was to Luella Porter Carter who died in 1952 in a tragic automobile accident. His second marriage, to Alma Faye Burgess, ended in divorce. He and Rozetta Myers Curry were married about 1957. His only child, a daughter, was born in January of 1958. He also had two stepsons.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Kay King (Laura Lillian) Adams Hughes.

He was survived by his mother and seven siblings, Lucille Adams Teeters, Roy Lindell Adams (my father), Ivy Lena Adams Burd, Jesse Dalton Adams, Eugene Chalmer Adams, Aldon Wilson Adams and Joe Allen Adams.
