Joseph R Foster, 56 Rout 2, Lancaster, died Saturday at Memorial hospital where he had been taken two hours previously by the Rescue Squad. He had been ailing for a long time.
Services were held Tuesday at 2pm at the Harris and Wepking funeral home. The Rev Erwin Warber of the Evangelical and Reformed church officiated and burial was in Hillside cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, the former Stella Houghton, one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Etola) Heberlein, his mother, Mrs. Fred Foster of Bloomington, one brother, Harley Foster, Lancaster, and one sister Mrs. Clyde Duncan, Lancaster.
Mr. Foster was born in Beetown Township and farmed most of his life. He was active in West Grant Saddle club horse shows.
