Beverly Louise Stayner, 76, of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday Aug. 9, 2006, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Stayner was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Leo B. Biller Sr. and Martha Pauline Mathias Biller.
She lived in Rockingham County and Harrisonburg all of her life and graduated from Timberville High School.
She was a server for the Harrisonburg Loyal Order of Moose. She was a member of the Harrisonburg Women of the Moose, the Ladies? Auxiliary of Rion-Bowman VFW No. 632, Eagles Ladies? Auxiliary, American Legion and AM Vets. She was also a member of the Mount Olivet Church of the Brethren in Timberville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Stayner.
Surviving are two sons, Weldon "Eddie" Garber of Harrisonburg, and Mike Ritchie of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Patricia Louise Rubenhold of South Australia; a brother, William F. Biller of Timberville; two sisters, Helen E. Fox and Mary Lee Dean, both of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her body will be cremated at the Lindsey Cremation Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home with Dr. J.D. Glick officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
The Women of the Moose will perform a ritual 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends immediately following the Moose service.
