OGDEN - J. Grant Baxter, 77, Ogden, died of natural causes Sunday at 6 a.m. in an Ogden hospital. Born April 28, 1887, Silver City, to William and Jessie Laird Baxter. Married Sarah Florilla (Burgess) October 12, 1911, Nephi. Resided in Goshen 1888-1948. Former member Tintic Stake High Council; former member bishopric, Goshen Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Farmer. Ogden resident since 1948. Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Evans G., Sedro Woolley, Wash.; Robert L., Fort Lewis, Wash.;David H., Mrs. Art (Mary) Ballingham, both Ogden; Mrs. Glen (Rachael) Long, Eureka; Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Gabbitas, Provo; Mrs. Lola Wilkinson, Mrs. Agnes Rogers, both Salt Lake City; 34 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday 11 a.m. Larkin Chapel of the Dawn, where friends call Tuesday 7-9 p.m.; Wednesday prior to services. Burial, Goshen Cemetery.
