Vonetha L. Allen, a long-time resident of Onalaska and Morton, died Nov. 4 at Morton General Hospital after a short illness. She was 78.
Allen was born on June 12, 1916, in Harrison County, Mo., to Homer and Esta Goble. She was an avid crafts maker and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Louis B. Allen; four daughters, Barbara Fuller of Morton, Rose Embree of Woodland, Betty Birdwell of Enumclaw and Pat Johnson of Brinnon, Wash.; a son, Jimmy D. Clarke of Colcord, Okla.; a sister, Vera Peugh of Pattonsburg, Mo.; a son-in-law, Jim Fuller; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two nieces.
A private interment took place at Alpha Cemetery in Onalaska.
