Oscar E. Plaisted, 82, of Brewerton died Monday after a long illness. He died in the home where he was born and lived all of his life.
Mr. Plaisted was the owner and operator of Ace Boat Works in Brewerton until his retirement in 1958. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, the former Jean A. McCarthy; a sister, Margaret Wikoff of Phoenix; a niece, Janice Crane; and a nephew, Garret Wikoff.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fergerson Funeral home, North Syracuse, the Rev. Norman D. Lake officiating. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 215 S. Main St.
