Mrs. Helen Gladys Covalt, wife of William Covalt, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, August 30, 1933 at the Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. She was born in Everett, Pa. on August 23, 1909, and was a daughter of W. Hayes and Rebecca (Gordon) Cunard. She became seriously ill about three weeks ago and when her condition continued to become worse, she was taken to the Jefferson hospital at Philadelphia on Friday of last week. On December 4, 1928 she was united in marriage with William Covalt, also of Everett, who is employed by the State Highway Department office at Bedford and they have been residing in Bedford for some time. Besides her husband, Mrs. Covalt is survived by her son Fred Covalt, at home. Her parents, who reside in Everett, and the following brothers and sisters survive: Robert Harry, Webster, Elmira, Lydia, Grace, Jane, Pauline, Cunard, all of Everett. She also leaves two half-sisters, Mrs. Harold Fitzsimmons of West Chester, Pa., and Mrs. Perley D. Hunt, of Washington, D.C. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Lutheran church at Everett. Rev. E.P. Windman will officiate and will be assisted by William Karns. Interment will be made in the Everett cemetery.
