Enid was the oldest of three born to farmer Andrew Lawrence and teacher Robertha Eliza "Bertha" Dukelow. Her father died in an accidental dynamite explosion at work when Enid was 12.
She was a wonderful correspondent who kept in touch with distant family members through the years, often enclosing long-lost photos and remembrances with her letters.

"Beloved wife of the late Charles Jacob McGuire. Loving mother of Mary Elizabeth (the late Billie) Chaffin, Zelda Anne (David) Ciavola, Gloria Rae (Timothy) Thompson and John M. (Mary) McGuire.
"Proud Grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and one late great-grandchild. Dear sister of Marion Baker and Andrew Lawrence. Also survived by many nieces and nephews."
