ALBERT MAURER

Albert Maurer, 84, of 729 Chicago Street, Kiel, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday evening after an apparent heart attack.

He was born on September 21, 1892 in the Town of Schleswig, the son of the late John and Mary Hanke Maurer. He attended district school at Millhome.

On May 13, 1916 he married Aroma Henning at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in the Town of Schleswig.
After marriage, the couple lived and farmed in the Town of Schleswig. His wife preceded him in death on June 1, 1965. Mr. Maurer retired from farming in 1967 and moved to Kiel.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Truman Rabe of Route 1, Kiel; Mrs. Clarence Ninmer, Mrs. Vernon Wriedt and Mrs. Albin Wagner all of Kiel; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Voigt and Mrs. Henry Beil both of Kiel; and a brother, Herman of Sheboygan Falls.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel. The Rev. John F. Baumann, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Kiel cemetery.
