Ivy Leo Allen, 52, of Roanoke community, Rt. 4, Pickens, died at a local hospital Sunday afternoon.
He was a native of Pickens County and a son of the late John Brownlow and Rachel Earle Allen. He was an employee of Alice Manufacturing Co., a World War II veteran and a member of McKissick Memorial Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Reba Aiken Allen; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Camp of Easley and Mrs. Pansy Lee Camp of the home; four sons, G. Neal Allen of Easley, Bobby G. Allen of Easley, Gerald K. Allen of Pickens and Thomas M. Allen of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wade of Easley, Mrs. Clovie Aiken of Pickens, Mrs. Gracie Cope and Mrs. Exie Thacker of Greenville; three brothers, Gordon, J. B., and Lucius Allen of Greenville; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Roanoke Baptist Church by the Rev. Wallace Looper and the Rev. Robert H. Robinson. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jack Burrell, Tom Gilstrap, Gerald Tant, Ed Littleton, Melvin Howard, Furman Nix, Bolt Smith and James Wilson.
