Delmar is survived by his wife, Jewell, by two daughters, Kathryn M. Moore; and Barbara J. Callahan; and by one son; James D. Cooley. He is also survived by one brother, Eugene; and by three sisters, Geniva Davis; Emma Chitwood; and Alline Reese. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, David Cooley.
He was a U.S. Army veteran (World War II).
Funeral services were held at the Britton Chapel in Cuba, Missouri on Monday, April 10, 2000, at 10:00 AM.
Interment was at Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn in Cuba, Missouri.
