Martha T. Rehagen, 87, St. Anthony, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born May 17, 1907, in St. Anthony, a daughter of William and Anna Lueckenotte Herx. She was married Feb. 9, 1926, in St. Anthony, to Joseph H. Rehagen, who died March 5, 1982.
A resident of St. Anthony since 1977, she was a resident of Jefferson City for 35 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony.
Survivors include: one son, Dan Rehagen, Warsaw; three daughters, Anna Marie Brand, Warsaw, Rosemary Little, Satsuma, Fla., and LaVerne Reinkemeyer, Lee's Summit; two brothers, August Herx, St. Elizabeth, and Alvis Herx, Raytown; three sisters, Hedwig Holtmeyer and Pauline Doerhoff, both of St. Elizabeth, and Marie Gudeman, Tuscumbia; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, Joseph H. Rehagen Jr., William Rehagen and Robert Rehagen, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Parish Hall, with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
