Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins. The Rev. Kenneth Edenhause will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Matznick was born Sept. 2, 1885, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Ferdinand and Wilhelmina Liebscheid Matznick. He married Clara Sonnabend March 23, 1909, at Collins in a ceremony performed by the Rev. C. H. Wittbracht. They farmed in the Town of Rockland for 45 years. He was a town clerk for the Town of Rockland for 20(?) years, school district treasurer for 18 years, secretary of Collins Fire Dept. for 26 years, member of the church council for six years, treasurer of Evangelical Lutheran Church for three years and alderman of the City of Brillion for two and one half years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Gerhardt (Mildred) Dreger, of Rt. 4, Chilton, and Mrs. Frank (Norma) Boucher, of Brillion; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Matznick, of Rt. 4. Chilton; a brother, Otto, of New Holstein; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Magdelin) Schneider, of Howards Grove; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday and then at the church until the time of service.
