Enlisted US Army Air Corps 29 May 1941 in Dallas, TX. Reported missing in action 7 May 1942. Reported as a prisoner of war in the Philippines 30 Jan 1943 and died as a POW 11 Jun 1943 but official records state that Ernest died 12 Sept 1942. Suppose we will never know for sure his date of death. Ernest's body was interred 2 May 1950.

His sister, Mrs. W.P. Brewer, lived in Eldorado, Jackson County, OK in 1943.
