Mr. Vertz was born Sept. 12, 1878, in the Town of Gibson, son of the late Solomon and Minnie Luedtke Vertz. On Nov. 20, 1907, he married the former Theresa Broecker at Mishicot. She preceded him in death 26 years ago at Mishicot.
