Obituary

---Ella Carpenter Dale was born in Macon county June 28, 1873 died at her home in Green City, Mo., May 13, 1915. She was married to Thos. W. Dale, Oct. 28, 1891 and to this union were born 7 children all living except the infant that died with the mother.

---She united with the Universalist church and lived a devoted Christian life.

---She is survived by her father H. F. Carpenter of Bullion. Three brothers, W. F. Carpenter of Prairie Home, Mo., C. J. of Missoula, Mont., and E. E. of Kirksville, also five sisters, Mrs. W. W. Self, Mrs. O. B. McKenzie of La Plata. Misses Ada, Mamie and Frances Carpenter of Kirksville. All were present at the funeral except W.F. and C. J.

---There are left also beside the father, these children: Mrs. Nola Davidson, Effie, Lewis F., Mabel, Henry and Pearl and one granddaughter.

---By her death the community loses a loyal helper her husband a devoted wife and the children a consecrated mother.

---Funeral services were held at the La Plata Christian church conducted by H.A. Browning and burial at La Plata cemetery.

Mary Ellen "Ella" Carpenter married Thomas Warden Dale on October 28, 1891 in LaCrosse, Macon County, Missouri and they had the following children:

1) Mary Effie Dale Kittsmiller

2) Lewis Franklin Dale

3) Nola Ruey Dale Davidson

4) Mabel F. Dale Morton

5) Henry W. Dale

6) George Pearl Dale

7) Leonard Dale
