Visitation and Services
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Ave., Lawrenceburg, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 , with Leslie Shadrick officiating. Interment will follow at Shaw Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tennessee.

Obituary
We celebrate the life of Gene Allen Boyd, a Christian man who loved his family. He was born on November 14,1934, in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He peacefully left this earthly home to join his parents, William (Hub) and Virgie Boyd and infant brother, Douglas Boyd on December 29,2009 in their heavenly home.

Gene was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ and was blessed by the fellowship of his Christian family. Following a thirty seven year career as a member of Insulators Local Union #25 Detroit Michigan, he retired to the family farm in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

Gene's beloved fourteen grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren will always reminisce with love and laughter the happy times they shared with their grandfather.

This celebration of Gene's life also includes an abundance of loving brothers and sisters- in- law, aunts, uncles: M.D. Boyd of Five Points, TN and Nathan Boyd of Memphis, TN, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gene's life was also truly blessed by his caring neighbors, fishing buddies, and friendships at Ledbetter's and McDonalds.

The family suggests that memorials be made to
St. Jude Children's Hospital.
