Meggers Corners:
Miss Augusta Zarnsdorf was called to final rest Thursday April 3, after a lingering illness, death being due to hardening of the arteries.
She was born in the Town of Schleswig, August 3, 1881 and has always made her home here, keeping house for her brother, Henry at the old homestead. Her illness has extended over a period of twenty years and for the past eight months she has been almost helpless, death coming as a release from suffering.
She is survived by seven sisters and four brothers; Mrs. William Peters and Mrs. Wm. Hauschild, New Holstein; Mrs. Jos. Christel, St. Nazianz; Mrs. Henry Oesau, Chilton; Mrs. Otto Rusch and Mrs. Peter Huenebein, Milwaukee; Mrs. F. Perry, Omaha, Neb.; Aug. Zarmsdorf, Minneapolis, Minn.; Rudolph and William, New Holstein; Henry, Town Schleswig.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 1:30, the Rev. A.C. Plappert officiating. Burial was at the Eaton Cemetery.
Out of town people here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rusch of Milwaukee, R. Zarmsdorf, Mr. and Mrs. William Peterson and son, Richard of New Holstein; Louis Oesau, Chilton; Louis and Henry Krefman, Brillion; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Christel, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Christel, St. Nazianz and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Fleuhr of Kiel.
