John (Pat) Bostrom, 75, died Thursday afternoon, Feb 18, 1965, at his home following a long illness. Mr Bostrom was born Nov 13, 18S9, near Oskaloosa, a son of Sven Peter and Louise Schold Bostrom. He married Grace Thompson at Waterloo on Nov 15, 1916.

He was a former police chief of Vinton and later was employed by Benton County as a highway employee.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Howard M. Wilfong of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Larry Lewis of Vinton; one sister, Mrs. C F Pierce of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Frank Bostrom of Vinton and Henry Bostrom of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
