Mary Louise Turner, former resident and reporter for this paper during the 1930s and early 40s, died 3 Nov 1987 in Rolla. She was the daughter of long-time residents, Joseph and Jessie Broaddus and married Wayne E. Turner in 1943. They lived most of their married life in Kansas City and moved to St. James after retirement in 1971. Wayne passed away in 1974 and she is survived by 2 nephews, Richard of Rolla, and Wayne of Dalton, GA. A memorial service will be held at a later time at Ozark Memorial Gardens, Rolla.
