Funeral services for Martin Hickey, 79 of 911 17th St. Two Rivers, retired longtime Two Rivers Public Works Dept. employee, who died Sat. July 19, 1969 at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital will be at Deja Mrtin Funeral Chapel, Two Rivers. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Hickey was born April 23, 1890 at Baileys Harbor, a son of the late Martin & Lena Shamer Hickey. After attending the disrict school at Baileys Harbor he was engaged in the commercial fishing industry there for many years. For 25 years until his retirement he was employed by the Public Works Dept. of Two Rivers. He was a veteran of World War 1. He married the former Zita Monka June 7, 1922 at Sturgeon Bay. She preceded him in death April 24, 1968.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Shekoski of Tomah, a son Martin John of Manitowoc, 3 sisters, Mrs. Lena Anderson of California, Mrs. Clara Viste & Mrs. Gladys Heald of Baileys Harbor, a brother William of Baileys Harbor, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Two daughters and a son preceded him in death.
