Mrs. Albert Monka, 56, of 1709 Jackson St., Two Rivers, died Friday afternoon at Two Rivers Hospital. Funeral services will be at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Monka, nee Lillian Weber was born May 4, 1912 at Two Rivers, daughter of Edwin P. & Rose Lodel Weber. Her father served for many years as manager of the Two Rivers General Telephone Co. She attended St. Luke Parochial & Two Rivers Washington High School.
For a number of years prior to her marriage of Albert Monka, she was a saleswoman at Plantico Drug Co. Before her illness she worked for Paragon Drug. Co.
Besides her husband she leaves 2 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Krey of Milwaukee & Mrs. Gene (Susan)Hoida of Two Rivers, 3 sons,William & Michael of Two Rivers & Robert in the U.S. Navy at Newports News, VA., 2 sisters, Mrs. Ben Horner & Mrs. Austin Jacobs of Two Rivers, 3 brothers, John of Burlington, Ill, Mark of Orange, Texas and Richard of Racine & 13 grandchildren. A brother, Thomas, preceded her in death.
