Alice Gagnon Flegle (sic), age 91, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at the center.
Funeral Services3will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2000, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Larry Seidl will officiate at the mass of Christian Burial with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
She was born April 25, 1908, at Forestville, Wis., daughter of the late Hugo and Lena Schmidt Schmiling. On June 25, 1929, she married Herman Stephen Gagnon. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1964. On June 25, 1972, she married John W. Flegle. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1980. Alice was employed at Mirro Aluminum and Carron Net Company of Two Rivers. Alice and her husband Herman owned and operated Ace Net Company of Two Rivers until her retirement in 1970 at which time she sold the business to her son.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Delores Gallas, Suring, Wis., Donna and Nils Johnson, Glenallen, Alaska, Marilyn Brefczynski, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Kathleen Gagnon, Two Rivers; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Kay Nichelson, Viola DeFaut, all of Algoma; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Schmiling, Sturgeon Bay; one step son and step daughter-in-law, Howard and Evelyn Flegle, Two Rivers; two step-daughters and one step son-in-law, Carol and William Grenier, Sun Prairie, Elaine Schuetz, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9-11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
