Samuel J. Miller, son of Samuel R. Miller & Rebecca Roof, was a successful farmer, who lived most of his adult life near Glendale,KY. He married Rebecca Runner (Robt. Runner/Mary Hobbs) March 9, 1856. They had 3 children: Alfred B., John C., & William Elmore Miller. Sam & his wife, Rebecca, were founding members of the Glendale Christian Church. Sam served as one of the first deacons for his church. The Church has a memorial window honoring Sam & his wife.
