Nathan Isaac Lerman, of 1 Hamilton Heights Drive, West Hartford, passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-eight on Thursday (December 31, 2009) after a short illness.


He was the son of Barnard Lerman and Celia (Wapnitsky) and was born in New York City on April 16, 1911.


He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-four years, Eva (Nichomoff) Lerman. They had three children, Robert Lerman of West Hartford, CT, Suzan Margulis and David Lerman. He was predeceased by three brothers, Irving, Lou, and Hyman; and one sister, Pauline. He was a photo engraver for his working career, and was a talented wood worker/carpenter hobbyist. He had ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. His greatest joy in his later years was to be surrounded by family and to visit with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He will be interred at New Montifiore Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY in a private ceremony on Tuesday.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 29 Soby Drive, West Hartford, from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
