MOUND CITY, Mo. — Barbara L. Hall, 75, Mound City, died Thursday, January 1, 2010, in Lexington, Mo.
Barb was born on September 26, 1934, in Oregon, Mo., to Orvel and Edna (Dreher) Winslow. She graduated from Craig High School in 1952.
Barb married Don E. Hall of Mound City on October 14, 1978; he survives the home.
Barb was a secretary for Hall Reality for 12 years. She later worked at Squaw Creek Truck Plaza before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Barb loved to go bowling, dancing and shopping. Barb and her twin, Beverly, got their cosmetology licenses together. She loved her kids and grandkids dearly.
In addition to her parents, one daughter, Rhonda Felumb, who died in infancy; one granddaughter, Melanie Suzanne Sherman; and one brother-in-law, Floyd Quimby, preceded Barb in death.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Rita Sherman of St. Joseph and Kim (Bruce) Hoeppner of Lexington; one son, Greg (Rhonda) Felumb of West Chesterfield, N.H.; one step son, Larry (Susan) Hall of St. Joseph; two step daughters, Lynda (David) Elton of Blue Springs, Mo., and Sheri Wright of Mound City; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Bob (Sue) Winslow of St. Joseph and Dave (Jane) Winslow of Bella Vista, Ark.; and two sisters, twin sister, Beverly Quimby of Mound City, and Alberta (Fred) Chuning of Independence, Mo., also survive.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Hope Mausoleum Roof Fund.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, at 2 p.m., at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Visitation will be Monday, January 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in the mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery.
