He was a son of the late Melvin and Anna Louise Tudor Cooper. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clydale and Charles Cooper and an infant sister. He worked with Mahue Construction for 21 years. He died of a heart attack while on a fox hunting trip with friends in Virginia.
Surviving; wife, Sara Lee Adkins Cooper; six sons, Randy Cooper, Ronnie Cooper, Mark Cooper, Charlie Cooper, Rodney Cooper and Kevin Hager; three daughters, Sherri Cooper Lawson, Lisa Cooper and Angie Cooper; one brother, Billy Cooper; one sister, Linda Cooper Templed; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin WV on Wednesday, September 25, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. K.D. Bragg and Rev. Kenneth Bell officiating. Interment will be in Cooper-Carper Cemetery, Griffithsville (Parsner Creek) WV. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
