Obituary
Creden E. Diller, 85, died 4:20 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2003, at Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village. He was the husband of Martha M. (Spahr) Diller. The couple observed their 63rd wedding anniversary May 14th. Mr. Diller was born March 25, 1918, in Plainfield, Pa., a son of the late Russell and Esther (Dyrmen) Diller. He worked 35 years for Standard Concrete, York, where he was a Union president. Mr. Diller was a life member of Moose Lodge #148 and a member of Etters VFW. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Diller is also survived by a brother, Lloyd Diller of Manchester; three sisters, Isabelle Holtz of York, Ruth Koons of Red Lion, and Mary Diller of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. and the funeral services 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry, where veteran's honors will be presented by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Officiating will be retired United Methodist pastor, Rev. John Lehr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
