Anna Kohout Smith of Converse Street, died Friday in a local nursing home. Anna was born in New Jersey and has lived in the Springfield area for many years. She was the wife of the late Vernon Smith, Jr. She was also predeceased by her children, Antonia Elbrecht and Mary J. Smith and her sister Edith Anderson. A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home with burial in the Springfield Cemetery.
