BELTON — Services for Mildred Allen, 98, of Belton will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home with Joe Baisden officiating.

Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen died Wednesday, Jan. 13, in a Belton nursing home.

She was born on May 8, 1911, to of Richard Elmer Hallmark and Hattie Eliza Oldham Hallmark in Sparta. She was a 1929 graduate of Killeen High School. She moved to Belton in 1929 and worked for the AAA office. In 1932, she married Jack Allen. They lived in Houston and Austin before moving to Belton in the early 1940's. She worked at the Bell County Tax Office for automobile registration for 36 years. She was a member of the Belton Iris Club and had been a member of the Belton Church of Christ since 1929, where she taught the Sunday school for more than 30 years.

Survivors include a sister, Marjorie Duke of Wichita Falls.

Memorials may be made to the Belton Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
