Services for Hale Lefan, 85, of Princeton will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eddyville United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Revs. Steve McVay and Charles Hatfield will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Mr. Lefan died at 10 p.m. Sunday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was the property valuation adminstrator of Lyon County for 28 years. He was a 50-year member of Joppa Lodge No. 167.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Sue Lefan; a son, Jerry Lefan of Eddyville; a daughter, Peggy Minacci of Dade City, Fla.; four stepchildren, Sherri Raymos of Bradenton, Fla., Clark Espie of Eddyville, David Espie of Kuttawa and Andrew Espie of Princeton; two sisters, Virginia Duncan and Dorothy McCracken, both of Princeton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Goodman Lefan; a stepson, Stephen Espie; and three sisters. His parents were Herman Seldon and Nellie Jane Parrent Lefan.
