Funeral services for Nelida T. Aguilar, 61 of Corsicana, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday evening with a Rosary at 7 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.

Mrs. Aguilar died Friday January 1, 2010 in a Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Aguilar was born September 22, 1948 in Belton, the daughter of Lee and Joan (Guzman) Aguilar. She
received her masters degree from the University of Nebraska, in Lincoln, NE. She worked as the Human Resource Director at Navarro College in Corsicana.

Survivors include her father Lee Aguilar of Belton, one son David Fernandez III of Austin; two daughters Christina Shapter of Austin and Mariana Elliott of Houston; four brothers Gabriel Aguilar of Little River, Michael Aguilar of Llano, Richard Aguilar of Belton and Robert Aguilar of Belton; five sisters Cathy Aguilar of Austin, Rita Torres of Austin, Polly Aguilar of Kerrville, Tere Aguilar of San Antonio and Missy DeLaRosa of Belton and grandson Jackson Elliott.
