Funeral services were held Monday, September 27, at Bragg City, Mo., for John Troy Childers, who passed away at his home on a Bragg City Route last Saturday.
Mr. Childers was born on August 24, 1892, in Marion County, Alabama, and had been in this community for the past twenty years. He died at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 1 day.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Whitman, and interment was at Portageville, Mo. German Funeral Home in Steele was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Jeanie Childers; 5 sons, Freeman, Oscar, Edgar, Leon and Thomas; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtie James, Mrs. Helen McPherson, Mrs. Nelline Maupin and Mrs. Hazel Faulkner; twenty-nine grandchildren; 3 brothers and two sisters.
