Died at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Sunday, August 15, 1886 at 2:30 PM. Margaret J. Palmer, daughter of, Andrew M. and Mary T. Ballentine and wife of General J. B. Palmer. Her burial took place at Maplewood Cemetery. Her father was for long years closely identified with the business interest and property of Pulaski, being one of it's honored and influential citizens. In early womanhood , rich in all the charms and graces of cultured life, endowed with rare beauty of face and figure, brillant in intellect and charming in the social world, she gave her hand in marriage to Mr. William Mason of Memphis who lived but a few years. Some years after his death she was married to General J. B. Palmer of Murfreesboro where she spent the remainder of her life.
