Ms. Betty M. (Palmer)Humphrey, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Monday, December 28, 2009, in Charleston, Arkansas. Ms. Humphrey was 70 years, 6 months, and 28 days old. She was the daughter of the late Roy Calvin and Bessie Minnie (Pippen)Palmer.
Ms. Humphrey was a secretary for the Miller Drilling Company in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and was a member of the Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Ms. Humphrey was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Donald Humphrey.
She is survived by two step-daughters: Connie Akers and Rosie Galbraith; two step-sons: PHillip Humphrey and Danny Humphrey; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The body was cremated.
